Why create "The Virtual Party"The choice of political parties within Australia is becoming increasingly limited and non representative of the average Australian family. Basically you can either vote right or left, (conservative or socialist). Neither one really addresses the main issues that most average Australians are concerned about. At both Federal and State level, politicians seem quite happy to ignore the issues that we see as inequities. Most times these inequities could be easily fixed by the passing of fairly simple, basic laws and yet we see our politicians ignore what we see as issues affecting our everyday life, whilst creating or passing more regulatory laws (often unenforceable) which only further restrict our way of life, or the earning of our income. There are a number of smaller parties, but these tend to represent smaller "niche" groups of voters. More and more it seems the average hardworking Australian is paying more tax and supporting more minority groups and receiving less in return. Most of us simply want to put in a fair amount of work, for a fair return. To raise our families in a peaceful environment, without the constant fear of imminent assault or home invasion/break in and be left alone to achieve this. Increasingly this right is being eroded by increased taxes, increased work loads/stress/hours for less income and a dramatic increase in crime (which largely seems to go unsuitably punished) which makes our community an unnecessarily dangerous place to live.
So basically, I for one have had enough. There needs to be a third major player within the Australian political arena. Pauline Hanson, I believe, was on the right track, as supported by her party's performance the first time they became a voters choice. However I also believe she did not have the right "advisers" to get her party where it should have gone.
Thus the creation of the "The Virtual Party" web site. Whilst not an actual political party as such (at the moment).......it could well be. ie I am seeking discussion of topics of everyday importance, to everyday Australians. At the end of discussion on each topic a policy will be written on the "Party Policy" page of this site. The aim is to formulate an ideal policy of a political party representative of average Australians. So feel free to write in on any topic, even news items.
